Brilliant. In the way it does not immerse in the endless cry for love like modern man always does, but it calls for more. While you look at allthe characters in the screen, playing the roles that ordinary people playing,you know how true and ridiculous life is, and how simple and naïve we are. 

In this film , there are ex-marital affairs , just like “in the mood for love” 花樣年華, something happened between the wife and the husband (of the other), but this time, it’s not indulging "in the mood for love", it’s not "glorifying" the loneliness of modern man, it just shows -- the truth , which one could only understand after all is over. 

(not sure if this film has been shown in HK…., it’s a film by Kate Winslet, Dir: Todd Field, nominated for 3 Oscar prizes.)

The film is not commenting on anybody, but it just tells the stories and keep us watching, the life of others and ourselves. It’s wisdom. 

Thereare two more films which I loved a lot , sure for the “Life of theother”竊聽者，and“Volver” 浮花。Here’sfilm of the year 2007. This is what film should be about.
